Dallas blues pianist and National Heritage Award winner Alex Moore made much of his reputation on his ability to improvise blues lyrics on the spot (some of them bawdy beyond belief), a gift which stayed with him into his 90s, when this live album was recorded. His piano improvisations recall everything from barrelhouse to Monk.
