Voivod – The Best Of – Cassette
Voivod, formed in 1982, is known for their unique blend of thrash metal, progressive rock, and punk influences, as well as their distinctive sci-fi and post-apocalyptic lyrical themes. Over the years, they have gained a dedicated fanbase and have released numerous critically acclaimed albums.
Voivod was one of the first thrash bands out of Canada to gain popularity outside of their home country. From their beginning in the early ’80s, their main goal was to be different from anyone else, and thus they incorporated odd musical tempos and futuristic story lines into their songs, often dealing with technology taking over the world.
A compilation album The Best Of Voivod features a selection of the band’s most popular and influential songs from their career. It aims to provide listeners with an overview of the band’s musical journey and highlights key tracks that have contributed to their success.
Voivod opened the way for other Canadian thrash bands and for metal bands with their unique styles of performing and writing.
