Situation is a song by the British synth-pop duo Yazoo, also known as Yaz in the United States. The original version of the song was released as a single in 1982 and later included on their debut album “Upstairs at Eric’s.”
In 1990, a remix of Situation was released. This remix, known as the “Situation (Remix)” or the “Deadline Mix,” was reworked by British producer Francois Kevorkian. The remix gave the song a more danceable and club-friendly sound, updating it for the 1990s dance music scene.
The Situation (Remix) was well-received and became a popular dance track in the early 1990s, particularly in clubs and on dance music radio stations. The remix retained the essence of the original song while incorporating new electronic elements and extended dance-friendly sections.
