The project pulls from unreleased recordings spanning different phases of his short career. Production ranges from Brooklyn drill foundations — sliding 808s, ominous piano loops, UK-inspired drum patterns — to more melodic, crossover-friendly beats. Contributors include 808Melo, Rico Beats, WondaGurl, Murda Beatz, Swizz Beatz, and others, reflecting both his core drill team and mainstream producers.
The guest list is extensive: Kanye West, Pusha T, Rick Ross, Pharrell Williams, Future, Chris Brown, Dua Lipa, 21 Savage, Kid Cudi, Quavo, and more. At times, the collaborations expand the album’s scope into radio-ready hip-hop and R&B territory. Tracks like “Demeanor” (featuring Dua Lipa) lean into pop-dance crossover energy, while songs such as “Mr. Jones” and “Brush Em” stay closer to his gritty drill roots.
Pop Smoke remains focused on themes that defined his rise: street life, loyalty, ambition, and status. His baritone delivery — commanding and rhythmic — remains the album’s anchor. Even when production shifts stylistically, that vocal presence maintains cohesion.
Faith debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making Pop Smoke the first hip-hop artist to earn two posthumous No. 1 albums. However, critical response was mixed, with some noting that the length and number of features diluted the focused intensity that made his earlier work so impactful.
