Taylor Swift – Midnights Jade Green Edition – Marbled Vinyl Record
Midnights is Taylor Swift's tenth studio album, a collection of thirteen songs framed as thoughts encountered during sleepless nights. Working primarily with Jack Antonoff, Swift places close narrative writing inside synth-pop, electronic rhythm, muted textures, and details that reward listening at lower volume as much as the larger choruses. The record moves through self-examination, romantic memory, revenge, insecurity, ambition, and the stories a person tells when no one else is present to interrupt or correct them.
“Lavender Haze” opens by protecting a relationship from outside expectation, while “Maroon” revisits color imagery as memory deepens and darkens. “Anti-Hero” turns self-criticism into the album's most immediate refrain, allowing humor to coexist with discomfort. Lana Del Rey joins “Snow on the Beach,” a song about the disbelief of discovering that attraction is shared. “You're on Your Own, Kid” then traces longing and sacrifice across years, and “Midnight Rain” contrasts domestic possibility with the decision to pursue change.
The second side begins with “Question…?” and its attempt to recover meaning from a past encounter. “Vigilante Shit” narrows the production into deliberate menace, after which “Bejeweled” reasserts visibility and value. “Labyrinth” captures the fear of falling in love again, using processed vocals and rising electronic motion to make hesitation audible. Those transitions show why the album works as a sequence: confidence is not a permanent destination, and a person can move from retaliation to vulnerability within the same late-night line of thought.
“Karma” imagines consequence as a reassuring companion rather than only punishment. “Sweet Nothing,” written with William Bowery, values the private relief of a relationship that does not demand performance. “Mastermind” closes by revealing planning beneath apparent chance, then complicates that confession with the possibility that the other person understood all along. The standard thirteen-track program ends there. This vinyl does not include the 3am Edition songs or the three audio bonuses found on the Target-exclusive Lavender Edition compact disc.
The Jade Green Edition is one of four collectible Midnights vinyl configurations. It contains one jade-green marbled record, with natural variation created by the manufacturing process. The package uses unique front and back cover artwork, a collectible album sleeve with a full-size photograph, a unique gatefold photograph, and an eight-page lyric booklet with additional images. Those elements distinguish the edition beyond color, and the cover should be matched to the jade configuration rather than another Midnights clock-panel design.
Republic Records released Midnights on October 21, 2022. UPC 602445790050 identifies this Jade Green Edition vinyl and distinguishes it from the Moonstone Blue, Blood Moon, Mahogany, and Target Lavender pressings, as well as the compact discs.
