Description
Andrea Bocelli – Cinema – Double Vinyl Records
Cinema finds Andrea Bocelli interpreting songs associated with major films, drawing repertoire from Hollywood musicals, European cinema, and contemporary screen epics. Produced by David Foster and others, the 2015 album treats movie melody as a shared international language, allowing Bocelli to move among Italian, French, Spanish, and English texts.
“Maria” from West Side Story and “La chanson de Lara” from Doctor Zhivago open the program with contrasting theatrical moods. “Moon River” is intimate and restrained, while “E Più Ti Penso,” a duet with Ariana Grande built from Ennio Morricone themes, brings a modern crossover voice into the orchestral setting.
Bocelli’s sustained tenor is well suited to “Be My Love” and “The Music of the Night,” songs written to support broad melodic arcs. “Por una cabeza,” “Sorridi Amore Vai,” and “Brucia la terra” extend the album beyond English-language standards, connecting tango, Morricone, and The Godfather’s Sicilian atmosphere.
The closing selections continue the cinematic travelogue through “No Llores Por Mí Argentina,” “Nelle Tue Mani,” and “L’amore è una cosa meravigliosa.” Rather than reproducing original soundtrack performances, the arrangements build a consistent Bocelli album from melodies already loaded with visual memory.
This 2015 double-vinyl edition contains the thirteen-track standard program. It should not be confused with later special editions that add songs or alternate-language versions.
Brand new, never played and still sealed in the factory plastic
