Description

Stereophonics – Make ’Em Laugh, Make ’Em Cry, Make ’Em Wait – Green Vinyl Record

Make ’Em Laugh, Make ’Em Cry, Make ’Em Wait is Stereophonics’ thirteenth studio album and one of the group’s most concise. Released in 2025, its eight songs avoid the sprawl of a deluxe-era track list and concentrate on Kelly Jones’s gravel-edged voice, direct guitar writing, and lyrics about endurance, relationships, and the passing of time. The title borrows an old show-business instruction, but the record applies it to adult emotional life rather than spectacle.

“Make It on Your Own” begins with a statement of independence supported by a broad rock arrangement. “There’s Always Gonna Be Something” acknowledges that problems do not disappear when one obstacle is cleared. The song’s strength lies in the tension between its realistic lyric and an expansive chorus. “Seems Like You Don’t Know Me” turns that attention inward, examining the distance that can grow inside familiarity.

“Colours of October” uses seasonal imagery for change and memory, with Jones allowing the melody to carry more weight than guitar force. “Eyes Too Big for My Belly” restores a rougher humor and rhythmic push. The album’s shifts between reflection and swagger feel natural because the band never changes its basic identity: sturdy drums, melodic bass, guitars that can widen a chorus, and a voice marked by experience.

“Mary Is a Singer” places music and character at the center of a compact narrative. “Backroom Boys” looks toward the people working outside the spotlight, while “Feeling of Falling We Crave” closes with desire and uncertainty intertwined. The final song does not force a neat lesson onto the album; it leaves the listener inside the contradictory urge to seek both safety and risk.

This EMI Records edition presents the complete eight-track album on green vinyl. UPC 602475475552 identifies this colored pressing. The single-LP sequence preserves the album’s intentionally compact design, with no bonus tracks added after the closing “Feeling of Falling We Crave.”

Brand new, never played and still sealed in the factory plastic
