Description
Mura Masa – demon time – Vinyl Record
demon time finds Mura Masa turning decisively toward the club. The 2022 album is short, fast-moving, and built around collaborations, with Alex Crossan using each guest voice as part of the production rather than treating the record as a conventional singer-producer showcase.
The title introduction sets a nocturnal mood before “bbycakes” brings together Shygirl, Lil Uzi Vert, and PinkPantheress over a playful reworking of UK garage-pop language. “slomo” changes the texture without losing momentum, while “2gether” places Gretel Hänlyn inside a bright, compressed arrangement.
“up all week” and “prada (i like it)” lean into restless electronic rhythms and clipped hooks. Bayli’s presence on “hollaback bitch” gives the record one of its most assertive vocal moments, with Crossan’s production leaving enough negative space for attitude and timing to carry the track.
The second half continues the international guest list. “blessing me” features Pa Salieu and Skillibeng, “tonto” joins Isabella Lovestory and Leyla, and “e-motions” uses Erika de Casier’s cooler delivery to shift the album’s temperature. “blush” ends on a softer but still synthetic note.
This vinyl edition presents the complete 11-track album. demon time works as a deliberately immediate snapshot of early-2020s club pop, connecting UK garage, dancehall, hyperpop, and electronic R&B through concise songs rather than extended producer exercises.
Brand new, never played and still sealed in the factory plastic
