Description
Kali Uchis – Red Moon in Venus – Target Exclusive Baby Pink Vinyl Record
Red Moon in Venus finds Kali Uchis working in a rich meeting place between R&B, soul, and pop. Her third studio album arrived in 2023 through Geffen, with fifteen songs that move through romance, attachment, frustration, and renewed independence. This Target-exclusive baby-pink LP presents the album in its alternate-cover configuration, making it a distinct physical edition of the release rather than an expanded program with extra recordings.
“In My Garden…” opens the sequence before “I Wish You Roses,” one of the songs that introduced the album. The opening side also includes “Worth the Wait,” “Love Between…,” and “All Mine,” with “Fantasy” adding a guest appearance from Don Toliver. The arrangements leave room for Uchis's voice to carry the atmosphere, while the songs keep a clear melodic focus. The result is a record with a consistent musical world and enough variation to let each selection have its own character.
“Como Te Quiero Yo” and “Hasta Cuando” bring Spanish into the first side, reflecting the bilingual dimension of Uchis's work. Red Moon in Venus follows the Spanish-language Sin Miedo project, but it does not simply repeat that record's approach. Its mixture of languages sits within the album's broader soul and R&B setting. Fans entering through either part of her catalog will find recognizable elements while hearing a different group of songs.
The second side opens with “Endlessly” and “Moral Conscience,” moves through “Not Too Late,” and includes the slower “Blue.” Summer Walker appears on “Deserve Me,” before “Moonlight” and “Happy Now” complete the program. Omar Apollo is featured on “Worth the Wait” on the opening side. Those collaborations fit into Uchis's own album rather than turning it into a guest-led compilation; the two sides retain the fifteen-track sequence.
The baby-pink pressing is identified by UPC 602455788511. Its alternate artwork and colored disc are the edition features relevant to collectors comparing it with the standard vinyl and other color variants. For listeners, the musical draw remains the complete Red Moon in Venus album, including “I Wish You Roses,” “Moonlight,” and its three featured collaborations.
