EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert puts Elvis’s own performances at the center of Baz Luhrmann’s return to his story. This 2026 soundtrack accompanies the documentary built from archival concert and rehearsal material, following the director’s 2022 dramatic film Elvis. The music draws on a period when Presley was working the Las Vegas stage and touring across the United States, combining newly prepared versions of live performances with remixes and medleys. On this double-LP edition, the twenty-six-track sequence moves through rock and roll, ballads, country-inflected songs and gospel with the variety of a full evening’s performance.

The film grew from material Luhrmann’s team uncovered while making Elvis, including footage captured for Elvis: That’s the Way It Is and Elvis on Tour. Those original projects documented the 1970 Las Vegas engagement and the 1972 American tour. Years of restoration work brought the performances into a new presentation, with Jonathan Redmond and Peter Jackson’s Park Road Post Production among those involved. The soundtrack follows that approach to the archive, letting familiar songs be heard within a newly assembled account of Presley’s stage presence and musical interests.

The first side moves from the ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ introduction through ‘Also Sprach Zarathustra / An American Trilogy,’ ‘That’s All Right,’ ‘Tiger Man’ and ‘Hound Dog,’ before reaching ‘Polk Salad Annie.’ That range recalls how Elvis could move between the music associated with his earliest records and the more expansive arrangements of his later concerts. ‘You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling,’ ‘Burning Love’ and ‘Never Been to Spain’ continue the program, with ‘Little Sister / Get Back’ providing another medley that places different songs in conversation.

The third side makes room for the more reflective and devotional parts of his repertoire. ‘Always on My Mind,’ ‘How Great Thou Art,’ ‘Oh Happy Day’ and ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ sit alongside ‘I Can’t Stop Loving You,’ ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight’ and ‘Big Hunk O’ Love.’ The selection gives those contrasting approaches enough space to register. Presley’s versatility is part of the appeal: the album can move from a familiar rock-and-roll number to a song requiring a broader, more sustained vocal performance without leaving the same musical world.

Jamieson Shaw’s remixes of ‘Love Me’ and ‘In the Ghetto’ add a contemporary layer to the soundtrack, alongside the EPiC versions, the opening and closing passages, ‘American David’ and ‘A Change of Reality (Do You Miss Me?).’ Luhrmann executive produced the album, which was released through RCA and Legacy Recordings. This is the standalone two-record soundtrack, with its own twenty-six-track vinyl program. It brings the concert selections and the film’s new musical constructions together, offering a wide view of Elvis as an interpreter whose repertoire reached well beyond any single style.
