Rorschach Testing is the second studio album by the British electro-industrial band Click Click, released in 1988 through Play It Again Sam Records. Formed in 1982 by brothers Adrian and Derek E. Smith, Click Click had been exploring the realms of electronic and industrial music, drawing inspiration from artists like Cabaret Voltaire and The Residents. ‘Rorschach Testing’ was recorded and mixed at Vibrasound Studios in Sheffield between January and February 1988, with production handled by the band alongside engineer Alan Fisch. The album’s title pays homage to their manager, Dec Hickey, and his label, Rorschach Testing Records.
The album delves into themes of psychological introspection and societal critique, aligning with the industrial genre’s penchant for exploring the darker facets of human experience.
