Impiety – Versus All Gods – Red Vinyl Record

Versus All Gods is the ninth full-length studio album by Singaporean black metal band Impiety, released on January 20, 2020, through Evil Dead Productions. This album marks their return after an eight-year hiatus since their previous release, Ravage & Conquer (2012). Known for their aggressive blend of black, death, and thrash metal, Impiety delivers a relentless assault on this record, staying true to their blasphemous and unyielding musical vision.

Formed in 1990 by bassist/vocalist Shyaithan, Impiety has been a pivotal force in the Southeast Asian extreme metal scene. Over the decades, the band has undergone several lineup changes, with Shyaithan remaining the consistent driving force. For Versus All Gods, the lineup featured guitarists Iszar and Nizam Aziz, along with drummer Dizazter, all contributing to the album’s ferocious sound.

The recording took place at Hertz Studio in Poland, renowned for its work with extreme metal acts. The production, handled by the Wiesławski brothers, captures the raw intensity of Impiety’s performance while ensuring clarity and depth in the mix.

Versus All Gods showcases Impiety’s signature style—a fusion of blistering black metal riffs, death metal brutality, and thrash metal speed. The album is characterized by rapid tremolo-picked guitar lines, relentless blast beats, and Shyaithan’s venomous vocal delivery. Lyrically, the album delves into themes of anti-religion, warfare, and occultism, reflecting the band’s longstanding blasphemous stance.
