Description
Meat Loaf – Dead Ringer – 180 Gram Vinyl Record
Dead Ringer is the second studio album by Meat Loaf, released in 1981. The album is a follow-up to his highly successful debut, Bat Out of Hell. Like its predecessor, Dead Ringer was produced by Jim Steinman.
The album features a theatrical and grandiose style typical of Meat Loaf’s collaboration with Steinman. It includes tracks such as ‘Dead Ringer for Love,’ a duet with Cher that became a notable single, and ‘I’m Gonna Love Her for Both of Us.’
Dead Ringer didn’t achieve the same commercial success as ‘Bat Out of Hell,’ it still garnered positive reviews for its bombastic and operatic rock sound. Meat Loaf’s powerful vocals and Steinman’s epic songwriting continued to define the album, solidifying their collaboration as one of the iconic partnerships in rock music.
