Tori Kelly – A Tori Kelly Christmas – Transparent Santa Red Vinyl Record
A Tori Kelly Christmas brings the singer’s vocal agility and gospel background into a holiday setting shaped by producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. The album combines familiar carols, modern seasonal standards, and original songs without treating them as separate categories. Piano, strings, choir textures, and R&B rhythm support Kelly’s voice, but the arrangements leave enough space for her phrasing to remain the center of each performance.
“Silent Night” opens with restraint, allowing the melody and Kelly’s control of breath to establish the mood. “25th” is an original song that focuses on anticipation and intimacy rather than broad holiday imagery. Babyface joins her on “Let It Snow,” creating a relaxed duet built on conversational exchanges. “Sleigh Ride” then increases the tempo with a bright, rhythmic arrangement.
“Christmas Time Is Here” draws out the melancholy beneath the Peanuts standard. The medley “Joy to the World / Joyful, Joyful” connects a traditional carol to gospel celebration, giving Kelly room to move from reverence to full vocal power. “O Holy Night” is the album’s formal centerpiece, approached through a gradual build rather than immediate display.
“This Christmas” receives a warm R&B reading, while the original “Gift That Keeps on Giving” emphasizes lasting affection over seasonal spectacle. “Go Tell It on the Mountain” returns to church-rooted energy. The vinyl closes with “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” a version that acknowledges the song’s pop familiarity while letting Kelly reshape its melody through her own runs and dynamic choices.
This limited Capitol Records edition presses the 11-track vinyl program on transparent Santa-red vinyl. UPC 602435199412 identifies this configuration. Its sequence differs from digital editions that add bonus material such as “Hallelujah,” so the listing follows the exact two-sided physical program from “Silent Night” through “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
