$uicideboy$ – Thy Kingdom Come – Target Exclusive Translucent Red Vinyl Record

Thy Kingdom Come finds $uicideboy$ widening the space around their voices without losing the darker character of their music. Released by G59 Records in August 2025, the album follows New World Depression and brings Ruby da Cherry and $crim together for ten tracks lasting roughly half an hour. Their music has always drawn strength from the friction between the two rappers, and this compact set leaves that partnership at the center. BONES and Night Lovell enter the picture as guests, but the record remains firmly rooted in the cousins’ shared language of Southern rap, abrasive delivery and uneasy introspection.

The New Orleans connection becomes especially clear on “Napoleon,” which samples Big Freedia’s “Gin in My System.” Bringing that local bounce vocabulary into the duo’s music changes the feel of the track without smoothing away its edge. It is a useful reminder that $uicideboy$ belong to a specific musical place, even as their audience extends far beyond it. Their Memphis-influenced horrorcore and cloud-rap background still informs the album, but “Napoleon” lets another part of their hometown’s sound through. The result sits comfortably beside the opening “Count Your Blessings” while giving the early stretch its own recognizable accent.

“Full of Grace (I Refuse to Tend My Own Grave)” takes a different turn, bringing an R&B sheen into a record whose titles repeatedly invoke faith, mortality and judgment. Its softer surface creates a pointed contrast with the severity of that subtitle. “Now and at the Hour of Our Death,” featuring BONES, draws on similarly charged language while allowing room for the rappers’ swagger and humor. These songs make clear that the religious imagery is not a promise of devotional music. It supplies a vocabulary for conflict and self-examination inside an explicit rap album, with tenderness and bravado often occupying the same space.

Compared with the duo’s denser soundscapes, Thy Kingdom Come gives its beats and guest voices more breathing room. That openness makes the shifts between trap, bounce and soul easier to hear, while Ruby and $crim keep the writing tied to subjects that have long shaped their work: alienation, addiction and the difficulty of living with oneself. The album’s brevity suits that range. It can move from the hard-edged opening titles to “Carried Away” and “Monochromatic” without becoming a sprawling anthology of unrelated material. The familiar darkness is still present, but the palette around it has become broader and less tightly packed.

This is the Target exclusive translucent red vinyl pressing, identified by UPC 199350887406. The single-LP configuration divides the ten-song program evenly between its two sides. Side A ends with “Chain Breaker,” while Side B opens with the BONES collaboration before moving into “Self-Inflicted,” “Grey + Grey + Grey,” “Carried Away” and “Monochromatic.” The color is a defining feature of this edition; other pressings of Thy Kingdom Come use different vinyl colors. For listeners following the development from New World Depression, this release presents a concise next chapter in which the duo’s underground rap identity accommodates a more varied set of musical textures.
