Khruangbin – Con Todo El Mundo – Vinyl Record

Con Todo El Mundo is the second studio album by Khruangbin, an American musical trio known for their blend of global music influences, including soul, funk, and psychedelia, often infused with a distinctly Thai funk sound. Released in 2018, this album further established the band’s unique style and broadened their appeal.

The title Con Todo El Mundo translates from Spanish to ‘With All the World,’ reflecting the band’s inclusive approach to music and their inspiration from various cultural sounds around the globe. The album features tracks that are largely instrumental, with sparse vocals, allowing their tight, rhythmic guitar work and smooth bass lines to take center stage. Songs like ‘Maria También’ and ‘Evan Finds the Third Room’ are standout tracks that exemplify the band’s skill in creating grooves that are both chill and engaging.

Con Todo El Mundo received critical acclaim for its seamless integration of diverse musical elements and its chilled-out, almost hypnotic vibe. Critics and fans alike praised the album for its coherent sound palette, which despite drawing from a wide array of influences, remains distinctly Khruangbin. The album’s relaxed tempo and intricate guitar work make it perfect for both active listening and as a laid-back soundtrack to unwind to.

The success of Con Todo El Mundo helped propel Khruangbin into the international music scene, leading to extensive touring and a growing fanbase. The album is a testament to the band’s creativity and their ability to craft a sound that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new.
