Ghost – Skeletá – Target Exclusive Violet Mist Vinyl Record and Large T-Shirt Deluxe Set

Skeletá is Ghost’s sixth studio album and the first full-length built around the Papa V Perpetua era. Rather than continuing the historical sweep of Impera, the record turns inward, using ten songs to examine isolation, anxiety, desire and the private structures people build around themselves. Peacefield opens at arena scale, with layered guitars and keyboards framing Tobias Forge’s highly controlled melodic writing. The chorus is immediate, but the song’s unease prevents it from becoming simple triumph. That tension between gleaming hard-rock surfaces and darker emotional content runs through the entire album.

Lachryma and Satanized demonstrate how comfortably Ghost can move between heavy riffs and precise pop architecture. Lachryma carries a gothic, almost romantic weight, while Satanized locks its hook to a leaner rhythmic drive. Guiding Lights softens the attack without abandoning the album’s dramatic tone, and De Profundis Borealis closes the first side with a title drawn from the language of depth and northern darkness. The sequencing makes the side feel like a deliberate descent: the arrangements remain expansive, but each song brings the subject closer to confession and doubt.

The second side begins with Cenotaph, a song whose memorial imagery fits the album’s concern with absence and the forms left behind. Missilia Amori brings a sharper, more aggressive edge, followed by the ominous Marks of the Evil One. Umbra uses shadow as both image and atmosphere before Excelsis gives the sequence a final upward gesture. The Latin-influenced titles are not ornamental; they extend Ghost’s long-running use of ritual language while the songs themselves remain grounded in modern melodic hard rock. Forge’s vocal phrasing keeps even the densest arrangements legible.

Produced by Forge under the Gene Walker name, Skeletá emphasizes the band’s ability to make carefully constructed studio rock sound immediate. Guitars often arrive in layers rather than as a single wall, keyboards widen the harmonic field, and the rhythm section keeps the choruses moving with a direct, physical pulse. The album was preceded by Satanized, Lachryma and Peacefield, and it became Ghost’s first release to top the Billboard 200. That commercial milestone makes sense in musical terms: the record condenses many of the group’s signatures without simply repeating an earlier album’s concept.

This item is the Target-exclusive deluxe set, not the standard black-vinyl LP or one of the numerous independent-store color variants. The record is pressed on violet mist vinyl and packaged with an exclusive Ghost T-shirt in size large. The front presentation uses the retailer-specific silver-mask Papa V overlay design. Because the shirt size and vinyl color are integral parts of the product, they belong in the listing title and included-items field rather than being treated as incidental extras. UPC 888072722897 identifies this precise Target configuration.

For collectors, the appeal is therefore split evenly between a complete album and a tightly defined exclusive package. Nothing in the set changes the ten-song running order, so the music remains the standard Skeletá program from Peacefield through Excelsis. What changes is the physical presentation: violet mist vinyl, the overlay artwork and the large shirt turn it into a distinct retail edition. Keeping those details explicit protects buyers from confusing it with visually similar copies and also lets the album stand on its own terms—as a concise, inward-looking Ghost record with some of the band’s clearest and most carefully arranged melodic hooks.

Brand new, never played and still sealed in the factory plastic
