Gyral is the fourth studio album by the British electronic music project Scorn. It was released in 1995. Mick Harris’ first Scorn release after the departure of bassist Nick Bullen is a refinement of previous concerns, with spare, repetitive rhythms and drum loops providing a tether for dark, brooding atmospherics and harsh, effects-heavy samples.
“Gyral” features Scorn’s signature style of dark and heavy electronic soundscapes, characterized by deep basslines, distorted rhythms, and minimalist compositions. The album incorporates elements of industrial, dub, and experimental music, creating a unique and atmospheric sonic experience.
