You’re Soaking in It is the second studio album by the American alternative rock band Big Hate, released in September 1998 under Flip Records. The album showcases the band’s fusion of grunge, alternative rock, and arena-rock elements, characterized by surging rhythms, brooding vocals, and prominent guitar lines.
Big Hate was formed by brothers Brian Stanger (vocals, guitar) and Adam Stanger (bass), along with drummer Stephen Panas. After relocating from New York to Georgia, they were joined by guitarist Rusty Cobb, solidifying the lineup that recorded You’re Soaking in It.
The album features a blend of alternative rock and grunge influences, with showy guitar lines and belted arena-rock choruses. While it didn’t achieve widespread commercial success, You’re Soaking in It contributed to the late ’90s alternative rock scene, reflecting the band’s energetic and emotive style.
