ROMANCE : UNTOLD -daydream- is ENHYPEN’s repackage of the group’s second studio album, extending its romance narrative with two new songs and a more anxious visual atmosphere. The original record imagined love as a force strong enough to cross boundaries; the repackage considers what happens when devotion produces uncertainty as well as confidence. A dream can hold intimacy and fear at once, and the album’s twelve-song sequence moves repeatedly between those two emotional states.
The new opening tracks establish that shift immediately. “Daydream” is a short, hazy invitation into the altered world of the repackage, while “No Doubt” places reassurance against the persistent worry created by distance. The group’s performance balances clean pop hooks with restrained tension, making certainty sound like something the singers must actively choose. Positioning both songs before the original album turns the familiar program into a memory viewed through a darker frame.
“Moonstruck” deepens the nocturnal mood before “XO (Only If You Say Yes)” gives consent and invitation a bright rhythmic center. “Your Eyes Only” is lighter and more private, while “Hundred Broken Hearts” examines the fear of repeating other people’s failures. “Brought the Heat Back” changes the temperature with funkier urgency, and “Paranormal” treats the intensity of attraction as something beyond ordinary explanation. Together, the tracks show the group moving easily between sleek pop, R&B, and dance production.
“Royalty” and “Highway 1009” bring the standard sequence toward affirmation. “Highway 1009,” written with participation from all seven members, carries particular meaning as a message linking ENHYPEN with ENGENE. The collaboration with JVKE on “XO (Only If You Say Yes)” offers an English-language variation with a different vocal color, and the narrated version of “Highway 1009” closes the album on spoken intimacy rather than a large final performance.
The Japan Edition is a distinct physical configuration. It includes the compact disc, cover sleeve, photobook, display stand, and album-logo sticker, plus one postcard selected from seven member designs, one standard photocard selected from seven, and one Polaroid-style photocard selected from seven. The package is therefore collectible but randomized. A sealed copy does not reveal which members appear in the three variable inclusions, and no particular member can be guaranteed.
This imported compact-disc edition is identified by UPC 198704090783 and the Japan Edition artwork, separating it from the BLUE NOON, WHITE MIDNIGHT, Weverse, and other regional versions of the repackage. It contains the full twelve-track audio program released in November 2024. The exact UPC and cover should be used when cataloging it because several editions share the ROMANCE : UNTOLD -daydream- title while using different packaging and paper goods.
