Released less than half a year after Japanese electronic outfit Maju’s debut album (Maju-1), Maju-2 covers similarly eclectic ground, dabbling in techno, ambient, drum’n’bass, electronica, and noisy experimentalism. Leader/keyboardist/producer Hosomi Sakana once again makes full use of the differing approaches of his collaborators, which keeps the album intriguing even if not all of the experiments quite work.
