Don Dixon is an American musician, producer, and songwriter known for his work in the alternative and roots rock genres, both as a solo artist and as a producer for other artists.

Known primarily as a producer, The Smithereens, R.E.M. or Marshall Crenshaw come quickly to mind, Don has also released a string of albums over the years. This effort is full of eighties power pop balanced by a John Hiatt or Pat Dinizio style of storytelling. A primitive painting graces the front cover and a portrait of a tired looking artist/producer on the back. An acquired taste, but one worth a little effort from the listener.
