After an eight-year hiatus following their 1983 album A Hard Road to Follow, The Flesh Eaters, led by vocalist and songwriter Chris D. (Desjardins), returned with Dragstrip Riot. This album introduced a new lineup, with Chris D. as the sole longstanding member. The recording sessions took place between May and June 1990.
Dragstrip Riot showcases a blend of punk rock infused with blues and garage-rock elements.
