Lefty’s Deceiver is the second and final album by the Atlanta-based band The Jody Grind, released on April 3, 1992, through DB Records. Produced by John Keane at his studio in Athens, Georgia, the album showcases the band’s eclectic blend of alternative pop/rock with influences from jazz and lounge music. The lineup featured vocalist Kelly Hogan, guitarist Bill Taft, bassist Robert Hayes, and drummer Rob Clayton.

Tragically, shortly after the album’s release, a van carrying Hayes, Clayton, and performance artist Deacon Lunchbox was involved in a fatal accident caused by a drunk driver, resulting in their deaths. This event led to the disbandment of The Jody Grind.

Lefty’s Deceiver stands as a testament to The Jody Grind’s unique sound and the vibrant Atlanta music scene of the early 1990s.
