Tori Kelly – Unbreakable Smile – Vinyl Record

Unbreakable Smile is Tori Kelly’s first full-length album, the point where years of independent songwriting, online performances, and self-produced recordings met a major-label pop production. Her voice remains the defining instrument: agile enough for rapid R&B runs, powerful in the upper register, and still capable of sounding conversational over acoustic guitar. The album balances that musicianship with concise choruses and contemporary rhythm tracks.

“Where I Belong” functions as a short introduction before the title song addresses image, criticism, and the pressure to reshape oneself for success. “Nobody Love” brings in a bright Max Martin-involved pop arrangement without erasing Kelly’s rhythmic phrasing. “Expensive,” featuring Daye Jack, uses playful materialism as a hook, while “Should’ve Been Us” turns regret into one of the album’s largest choruses.

“First Heartbreak” slows the pace and focuses on the fear that comes before loss. Ed Sheeran joins Kelly on “I Was Made for Loving You,” an acoustic duet built around the blend and contrast of their voices. “City Dove” frames perseverance through a city image, and “Talk” moves toward a looser R&B groove. The live recording “Funny” preserves the directness that first built Kelly’s audience.

“Art of Letting You Go” and “Falling Slow” explore separation from different angles. “California Lovers,” featuring LL Cool J, brings a lighter West Coast setting, while “Anyway” closes the vinyl program with a statement of resolve. Across the album, Kelly repeatedly returns to the question of how to remain emotionally open without allowing outside expectations to define her.

This Capitol Records vinyl edition contains the original 14-track LP program and is identified by UPC 602537743933. It excludes “Hollow” and “Something Beautiful,” which were added to later deluxe digital editions. The physical sequence preserves the debut album as issued on vinyl, including both featured collaborations and the live performance of “Funny.”

Brand new, never played and still sealed in the factory plastic
