2 Chainz – So Help Me God! – Compact Disc

2 Chainz’s So Help Me God! is his sixth studio album, released on November 13, 2020 via T.R.U. and Def Jam Recordings. It’s a pandemic-era time capsule in a very specific way: the album was originally announced with an earlier release plan, but it ultimately landed in November 2020, and the final version leans into that year’s atmosphere—stress, isolation, coping, and flexing as a form of survival—without turning into a pure “concept album.”

The standard album runs 15 tracks / 49:53, and it’s built as a feature-heavy, high-variation project where 2 Chainz shifts between punchline rap, street narratives, and more melodic, mood-forward cuts. The guest list is a big part of the record’s identity: it includes Kanye West, Brent Faiyaz, Lil Wayne, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Lil Uzi Vert, Rick Ross, Kevin Gates, Chief Keef, Ty Dolla $ign, and Latto (credited as Mulatto at the time), among others. Rather than using features only for star power, the sequencing uses them to steer tone—harder trap records sit next to more melodic collaborations and more reflective moments.

A few tracks became the “reference points” for how the album plays. “Quarantine Thick” (feat. Mulatto/Latto) is the most explicitly timestamped title in the tracklist, and it was highlighted in label promo around the release. “Feel a Way” (feat. Kanye West & Brent Faiyaz) is one of the most talked-about collaborations, pairing Chainz’s punchline style with Kanye’s presence and Brent’s melodic texture. On the more traditional rap side, “Money Maker” (feat. Lil Wayne) delivers the kind of veteran chemistry that’s been a reliable lane for both artists.

Production-wise, it’s very much a modern, post-2016 mainstream rap album: polished 808s, crisp hi-hat programming, and a lot of beat variety across the runtime. The credits list a wide set of producers (including Mike Dean, Mike Will Made-It, Cool & Dre, and others), which helps explain why the record moves through multiple textures instead of sitting in one sonic pocket.

In 2 Chainz’s catalog, So Help Me God! functions as the “big late-2020 statement” between the more tightly framed Rap or Go to the League era and what came after. It’s not his most conceptual album, but it is one of the clearest examples of him using a full-length project to show range: comedic lines, serious themes, and feature-driven variety, all anchored by his consistent voice and delivery.

Brand new, never played and still in the factory plastic
