“all-american bitch” opens by placing impossible standards of sweetness, gratitude, beauty, and anger inside sudden changes between acoustic control and explosive volume. “bad idea right?” turns knowingly poor judgment into a comic, spoken-sung rush. “vampire” begins at the piano before building toward accusation, using the image of emotional extraction to describe a relationship shaped by imbalance. The three songs establish the album's ability to move quickly between satire, impulsiveness, and hurt without presenting those responses as separate personalities.
“lacy” transforms admiration into envy and fixation, while “ballad of a homeschooled girl” gives social anxiety a frantic rock arrangement. “making the bed” slows the sequence to consider responsibility for circumstances the narrator also resents. Rodrigo's writing is strongest when it allows self-criticism to coexist with criticism of someone else. The songs do not require the speaker to be perfectly fair before her feelings become worth hearing. Nigro's production supports that uncertainty with close vocals, abrupt guitar entrances, layered whispers, and choruses that can feel both liberating and destabilizing.
“logical” examines the irrational rules accepted inside a damaging relationship. “get him back!” deliberately holds revenge and reunion in the same phrase, turning indecision into a chant. “love is embarrassing” finds momentum in humiliation, using bright new-wave energy to look back at devotion with disbelief. Those tracks show Rodrigo's comic timing without reducing the emotional stakes. A specific joke or exaggerated image often creates enough distance for the narrator to admit how thoroughly she was affected.
“the grudge” returns to piano and accumulated resentment, asking why forgiveness requires labor from the person who was hurt. “pretty isn't pretty” connects private dissatisfaction to a culture capable of moving every beauty standard as soon as it is approached. “teenage dream” closes with anxiety about whether early promise can be sustained and whether growing older will actually make uncertainty easier. Its final repetition leaves the question open, giving the album an ending that recognizes development without pretending the next stage has already been mastered.

The exact UPC identifies the CD retailer configuration rather than the opaque-magenta Target vinyl, which has different packaging and a vinyl-specific hidden track.
