Tesla – Shock – 180 Gram Vinyl Record

Shock is the eighth studio album by the American rock band Tesla, released in 2019. This album marked a significant departure from Tesla’s traditional bluesy hard rock sound, incorporating more modern and electronic elements. Produced by Phil Collen of Def Leppard, Shock aimed to give the band a contemporary edge while retaining their distinctive identity.

The album includes tracks such as ‘Tied to the Tracks,’ ‘California Summer Song,’ and ‘Shock,’ showcasing a blend of Tesla’s familiar rock roots with the polished production and modern influences introduced by Collen. The band’s willingness to experiment with their sound on Shock reflects their ongoing evolution and adaptability in the rock music landscape.

Reception to Shock was mixed, with some fans appreciating the band’s willingness to explore new sonic territories, while others were more attached to Tesla’s classic sound. Nevertheless, the album demonstrates the band’s commitment to staying relevant and trying new musical approaches, making it a notable addition to their discography.
