Much of the music was constructed in a home-studio environment, and that intimacy remains audible: guitars bend slightly out of shape, programmed drums feel loose rather than rigid, and vocals sit close to the listener even when the production becomes densely layered.
“Woof” opens with a brief invitation into that sound world before “Rocky” combines romantic uncertainty with a rubbery groove. “That’s Life” accepts frustration through an immediately accessible chorus. “Woopie” is playful and compact, while “Get By” turns the everyday work of holding a relationship together into a song whose rhythm feels lighter than its concern.
“Before You Were Mine” looks backward at a partner’s life, mixing curiosity with jealousy. “Drake” and “Window” use small melodic fragments and shifting textures, keeping the songs in motion without conventional rock dynamics. Gamsky’s guitar playing often functions like another electronic layer—muted, filtered, and rhythmically precise—rather than a lead instrument placed above the arrangement.
“Kenny” provides one of the album’s most direct emotional moments. “Get Down” returns to a heavier funk pulse, and “All Along” opens the harmony without losing the homemade character. “WTF” gives confusion a blunt title, while “These Days” closes with a more reflective perspective on change and the difficulty of remaining present.
